Mrs. Keck and Mrs. Marsh’s second graders went to Antietam Ironworks to visit the blacksmith shop. We will be studying colonial America in class and we were able to see a blacksmith in action! Mrs. James Gunnell did a wonderful job showing the classes his craft! We especially loved watching metal be changed by the heat into some creative designs! We also got a special visit from Senator Eichelberger. He was able to talk with the classes about education and how a senator helps our community. We finished our morning with a trip to the Lions Club Park in McConnellsburg. We learned so much and had a great time!
