Amy Garvin Named as New Principal

Cumberland Valley Christian School is pleased to announce that Mrs. Amy Garvin has been selected as the new principal effective April 1, 2019.

Pastor Mike Sanders, President of Cumberland Valley Christian School, stated, “I am very excited about the selection of Mrs. Amy Garvin as Principal of CVCS. I believe she is the right person to keep our school on mission and moving forward to provide the best education for our students.”

Mrs. Garvin has been an integral part of CVCS for the past several years currently holding the position of Dean of Students and Director of Admissions. She is also a graduate of CVCS. She has three children who attend the school. Amy received her undergraduate degree in Exercise Sport Science from Clearwater Christian College and also holds a Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in Educational Administration from Clarks Summit University. Mrs. Garvin works collaboratively with staff and honors the integrity and honesty that emerges from open and authentic communication.

When asked about how she felt about her new role, Mrs. Garvin stated, “As a graduate of CVCS, it has always held a special place in my heart.  I am very thankful that my parents listened to God’s leading and chose to send my sister, brother, and myself to CVCS.  It is truly a family atmosphere.  I look to continue following God’s direction as I lead the faculty, staff, students, and parents in the coming years.  I am also thankful to the Administration for their support.”
