Mrs. Kane earned degrees in General Science and Recreation from Houghton College. Following college, she worked at several nursing homes leading recreation and then served for eight years as Program Coordinator at Doubling Gap Center-Camp YoliJwa. In 2008, Katie and her husband moved away from their busy “camping life” to be closer to his family dairy farm. At that time, she enrolled in Wilson College to earn her Elementary Education certificate and began substitute teaching while staying at home with their two sons: Shay and Karter. Outside of school, Mrs. Kane enjoys hiking, biking and serving in the children’s ministry at her church. She looks forward to being part of the CVCS staff!
