Operation  Christmas Child boxes

On September 22, the members of Student Council went to the Franklin County Operation Christmas Child warehouse to create some smiles. While they were there, they were able to help the organizers prepare for a packing party being organized for the community. They prepared an assembly line for persons to pack a shoebox that will be delivered by Samaritan’s Purse to places around the globe to children who have so little and need Jesus. The students were also given the opportunity to pack boxes themselves. Overall, the students completed over 400 boxes during their service project through this event.

Food drive

During Soccer Spirit week, students showed their school pride and overall zaniness by participating in Spirit week theme days. Time Travel day and Beach Day brought out some interesting ideas. On the last day of Spirit Week, the students collected food to be donated to a local food pantry. Over a hundred different food items were donated by the various high school classes. The food items were also counted toward which class would win the Spirit Stick and the Senior Class and the Seventh Grade Class were declared winners during the Friday pep rally.
